For a lot of Aseprite tools theres a lil checkbox up at the top of the main window labelled Contiguous.Contiguous! What is it and how do i use it? Sit down and let me tell u.ALT or CTRL and click and drag on a layer or frame copies it.You can rearrange layers AND frames by selecting one and dragging the yellow handles to where u want it!.Continuous frames are p much one drawing that is stretched across multiple frames, while Discontinuous is a different drawing on each frame! the Two Dots icon is a toggle for Continuous of Discontinuous frames, meaning anytime u make a new frame it will be one of those depending on what u select.Use the onionskin mode! its the two squares button on the timeline window. The Timeline is pretty basic, but very useful!.Speaking of palettes! Aseprite comes preloaded with a TON!! play with them!.the preview is probably even more useful so you wont have to zoom in and out all the time to see what your work looks like at 100%. ![]() the timeline lets you work with animation and/or layers! very useful.I dont remember what windows are open by default but i recommend the Palette Window, the timeline, and the preview!.Also i changed the brush increment and decrement keys to ! this helped me a lot.it helps a lot! B for brush, Z zoom, E eraser, M selection, G fill bucket, L line, CTRL+Z is undo, holding down CTRL is the move tool and holding ALT is the color picker!. ![]()
